'victorialand' it's one Robin and Elizabeth did on their own in 1986 while Simon was off doing something else. it is easily the most beautiful relaxing album of them all, full of magnificent mindscapes and dreams. there is a couple of other songs from the album up on yt – Little Spacey and Throughout the Dark Months of April and May. if you like this you should check the others out

I remember first hearing their music in 1990 when Heaven and Las Vegas came out and felt i'd had what some call a religious experience. I love music in all it's many guises, but had never been moved so wholly on every level like their aural masterpeices move me. I wanted it all to myself, but am pleased to know that their are those out there who appreciate and recognize pure, unadulterated beauty.Nuff said.

I heard 'Lazy Calm' driving home to NH from a punk club SPIT in Boston at 3AM in 1986. Full, blue silvery moon. I turned off the car lights and drove in the moonlight on the highway feeling the voice of God was guiding me. Magic moment.

My favorite part in this song starts at right around the 2:49 mark when you hear the guitar riff begin to repeat along with the sax going into a slow trill that culminates with the first utterance of Liz's voice. It is amazing and words just don't do justice in trying to describe the feeling.

You were born at the right time (otherwise you wouldn't be you, you'd be someone else :), but I think what you've realized is that most of the music out today totally sucks. There will never be another era with the likes of Cocteau Twins, New Order, Cure, Smiths, etc.
