Anchoring the opening day ceremonies is a BASE jump from the top of the resort's cable car by Squaw Valley Pro skier JT Holmes. Ceremonies start at 2 p.m.
Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley will also be part of the opening day festivities as he will host an anniversary toast and celebration on the KT Sundeck from 2-3:45 p.m.
The celebration starts with a mighty mite parade and cake- lighting ceremony at 2 p.m., followed by a champagne toast by Nancy Cushing.
At 2:35 p.m, there will be the screening of “Squaw Valley USA – 60 Legendary Years.”
In addition to skiing, riding, and opening day festivities, guests can delight in the snow as Papoose will be open for snowtubing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. High Camp will be open for ice skating from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and for lunch and drinks at the Terrace overlooking Lake Tahoe from 11:30 a.m . t
