Northstar at Tahoe is located at Mt. Pluto. This location gives it the great terrain. The average temperatures run from 43 degrees during the day to 21 degrees at night during the skiing season.
Northstar at Tahoe never runs out of snow because they have the largest snowmaking system in the region. This snowmaking system covers 250 acres, including the bottom of the mountain and both sides.
It is the goal to turn this resort into a year round attraction, but for now it really is the skiing that attracts the most attention. However, Northstar at Tahoe is a force to be reckoned with because it remains a popular destination which will definitely help it during the off season.
